Position Purpose/Summary
The Tax Analyst is committed to providing the highest quality of service to the communities, customers, and employees we serve by setting up sales tax, preparing and managing as well as assist with quarterly and annual income tax estimate payment calculations, and compliance for income, sales, use, excise, franchise, and property tax.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales/use and regulatory filings and reports
- Work with outsourced compliance providers for various tax types and projects. Assist with review of returns. Focus on sales, use, but assistance with all tax types will be required
- Work closely with VP of Tax and others in organization in monitoring and managing risk from a tax standpoint
- Participation in monthly accounting close process with account reconciliations
- Assist with tax notices
- Assist in property tax process, including compilation of asset data for outsourced compliance provider, gaining an understanding of company assets and their utilization for potential exemptions, and bill tracking/coordination of payments
- Oversee data collection for various filing and reporting requirements
- Assist in maintenance of tax files and compliance with data retention process
- Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications
At a minimum, the Tax Analyst must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, or equivalent field of study, along with 2-3 years of tax or accounting experience.
